Summary:
Position is responsible for monitoring of daily bank activity, maintenance of fixed asset system and large project (COR) expenditure tracking, vehicle licensing and reporting, preparation of journal entries and reports that support a variety of areas of the company.
Essential Duties:
1.
Retrieve daily banking activity via internet and document in both detail and summary schedules for use in generating month end journal entries and management reporting.
2.
Deposit checks mailed directly to the company, instead of the lockbox.
3.
Initiate wire transfer of funds, as necessary.
4.
Transmit ACH files and positive pay files to the bank(s).
5.
Prepare borrowing base reports for the bank.
6.
Prepare and enter journal entries for month end closes.
7.
Maintain corporate accounting petty cash fund and reconcile various petty cash funds.
8.
Maintain complete, current fixed asset ledger.
9.
Maintain complete, current asset leasing schedule.
10.
Track status of COR (Cash Outlay Request) forms and' prepares summary of capital CORs for inclusion in BOD reporting.
11.
Manage vehicle licensing, registration and titling and prepare related government filings.
12.
Prepare work papers for annual audit.
13.
Perform related duties as required.
Job Specifications:
Requires minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related discipline; a Bachelor's degree in one of those fields is preferred.
Experience in applying bookkeeping knowledge and accounting software applications is required.
Skills And Abilities:
Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting transaction processing.
Working knowledge of, or ability to learn, various accounting related software applications (general ledger, spreadsheet.
).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize multiple tasks; demonstrated strong organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with and support other departments within the organization and other areas within Finance.
Solid attention to detail and ability to efficiently enter data with a high level of accuracy.
